A lot of the time, we can hold ourselves back in our style, business and life, because we often worry about seeking the approval of others.
The little girl inside of us is often making sure we “fit in” and are loved and accepted by our peers. Because of this, we can sometimes self-sabotage by blending in and quieting what we want for ourselves. We make sure that our aesthetic, tastes and desire don’t seem ‘too far out there’ to others.
This is something that comes up a lot in my classes. Women share with me that their partners, friends, or family have made comments about what they wear – and instantly go from a high energy, feel-good place, to one of disappointment and feeling vulnerable.
I’m going to talk about how to embrace getting dressed for yourself and why it’s important you choose yourself over others in style (and life).
