Throughout summer, rompers and jumpsuits run rampid in retail locations, and why not? They’re easy, full-outfits in one that make anyone look effortlessly put together in no time. Come the cool months, however, these beautiful pieces seem to be rare finds and are often stowed away in closets until warmer days come again.
I, however, love the idea of wearing jumpsuits in the winter months. They’re still easy go-to’s and with simple layering can be just as chic and warm as any other outfit.
The one pictured here from Club Monaco has been a staple of mine this fall/winter. Though this was released in the summer, I’ve been pairing it with blouses and turtlenecks underneath for warmth to make it season appropriate. On days where I’d like the piece to be extra snuggly, I’ll pull-on an over-sized sweater over top and make the outfit look like two separates: a sweater and wide-leg trousers. After-all, I’m a big believer in using our clothing a variety of ways to create multiple looks.
For those that don’t want to bare their ankles in the cool months like I did here, pulling on ankle boots or a higher calf-boot would look just as stylish.
What do you think? Would you wear a jumpsuit in the winter?
