OOTD: Lady In Red

I'm not sure what it is, but lately, I cannot seem to get enough of the colour red. More often than not, I typically grab for it in accessories as I haven't been a huge fan of shirts or other garments in that shade on me in past.

However, I have noticed that recently I've been feeling more vibrant, upbeat, and brighter - so it's only natural that colours reflecting my mood come out to play in my outfit choices. Have you ever noticed that?

So, I guess, my coral red is my mood of the moment! I find it so playful and just a bit sassy.

The cut of this dress in particular is what caught my eye. It's by a company called Leith, a clothing brand that I recently stumbled upon and had been adoring their pieces ever since. Since I major curves, most sundress offered by retailers typically don't work for me as they have no straps or worse, spaghetti straps (which, if you have a bust that needs support, this is a huge problem), and either hang like a box (unflattering for most), or are too form fitting. This dress however, flattered in all of the places I needed it to; it has thick straps, a beautiful neckline, and a flare that flatters my hips-that-don't-lie. Plus, it's a beautiful stretchy, jersey fabric.  In short, I was in love.

And, in-case you don't think personal stylists do it to, I bought two dresses in the same cut: this red one, and a beautiful off-white. #noshame

Because it's not scorching outside just yet, I decided to style this dress with a classic button-up blouse tied around my waist. While jean jacket's are an easy go-to, and are on heavy rotation for me this time of the year, a blouse tied around the small of your waist can offer the same beautiful layering.

This will easily become a throw-on-and-go look for me this summer.

What do you grab for all the time?
